I replaced the original by these.
when replaced both Englis.iff and gamedata.iff, the game couldnt even run. when replaced gamedata.iff only, i got into the game, but it quit right when finished loading. what do I do? fix this, plesae.

In fact this is a patch for 2k10, that's why the game crashed, I got the same problem... I always make backups of the original files, so I replaced them and the game could load again... If you don't backup your files, try to search the gamedata.iff and the english.iff in the .rar files used for the installation of the game. They're in it so you can extract them and past them in the game folder

Use and xbox 360 controller emulator and the icons will change. I use xbox360cemu.v.3.0 with a logitech dual action. Without the emu, the icons are 1,2,3,4,etc. same as on logitech dual action buttons..lame

xbox 360 controller is plug and play for NBA 2k11. The buttons are automatically configured with its icons. No need for a patch like this if u have an xbox controller for windows.
