Description:

Jordan's first encounter against the Chicago Bulls, after returning to the NBA as a member of the Wizards, would be a memorable one. With a game-high 29 points and the lead, the 38 year old MJ would get his shot partially blocked in the final seconds, giving the Bulls hope as Ron Mercer jumped out on a fast break. As Mercer was about to lay the ball in, Jordan appeared and wouldn't merely just block the shot, but pin the ball against the backboard with both hands and bring it down. Preserving the Wizards' 89-83 win, January 4th 2002.

A lot of people like to forget about Jordan's 2 seasons with the Wizards, but he still had some great moments there. It was a true testament to his love of the game, and his competitive spirit. "I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying"
